Curriculum
Inclusive Childhood Education majors combine a foundation in inclusive and general education with a liberal arts major in their subject of interest.
Courses and field experience provide deep experience in teaching methods, disability and inclusion, and adapting instruction and assessment for all learners.
Major in biology, chemistry, earth science, English and textual studies, history, mathematics, or physics to prepare to teach your specific subject in your future classroom.
Extracurricular Opportunities
Bridge to the City
Optionally spend a fall semester in New York City taking classes and student teaching full time. Broaden your perspectives in a diverse community, gain innovative professional practices and network in the NYC area.

Study Abroad
Take part in School of Education short-term study abroad trips or semester programs around the world. School of Education students are eligible for exclusive funding to support study abroad experiences.

Kappa Delta Pi
Join the student-led Alpha Delta Iota chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education for professional development, fellowship and service opportunities.

Spector/Warren Fellowship
This fellowship brings students interested in education to the Holocaust Museum Houston each year, where they learn from experts, firsthand accounts and survivors, gaining the tools to integrate the lessons on the Holocaust and human rights into any classroom subject.
